Amazon Associates Update: Multiple Accounts No More
After last night’s re-coding everything (see previous post), I was pleased to find an email from Amazon this afternoon. It said that they deleted my second account and have approved my other websites for referrals. This is great news. Now I’m pretty confident that it is setup correctly so I can move forward and start adding Amazon ads to all four of my websites.
On a side note, I do find it amazing that my links do generate sales. It is pretty cool to think that my product reviews might actually have influenced someone to make a purchase.
I also want to publicly thank Amazon. The fact that they give you commission for sales on items that you aren’t directly linking to is great. So many items that I’ve received credit for are just other items that happen to be in their basket. Even though people complain that their rates are low, their large inventory of items do make it easy for you to make multiple sales. Their free shipping for orders over $25 also helps - people seem to always buy that one extra thing.
